Shepherd of the Hill we care about each resident.
Our staff is trained to use that special, loving touch in everything
they do. They know the power of a healing hand and a warm smile, and
they are encouraged to always go the extra mile. Each
resident may choose to retain the services of his/her own personal physician
or choose to use the services of the Home’s physician. Nursing staff
assists residents with other medical needs such as arranging appointments
for the dentist, the podiatrist, and ophthalmologist.
Physical, speech, and respiratory therapies are also available
through the Home. Activities
are abundant in every area of our facility.
Residents are encouraged to participate in activities of their
choice. Social and recreational
opportunities appeal to a variety of interests.
Residents enjoy games, hobbies, crafts, group activities, outings to
local performances, or informal fellowship.
Quiet relaxation time is valued, too.
We help our residents to find new meaning in each day. Social
Services and Admissions is provided by a team of supportive professionals
who advocate residents’ rights. They
also provide counseling to families. Staff
meets regularly with residents and families to ensure fulfillment of the
care plan. Each service we provide has been carefully chosen with individual and special needs considered. The following includes many, but not all, of the services and amenities included in the daily rate at Shepherd of the Hill:
